Holistically Happy Health Check-In #1 – DIET

Oh, today is just another wonderful day.

And why is it just so wonderful?

Because I have been on the Holistically Happy Health plan- and it is AWESOME.

For me, I had to first change my eating habits. I had to snack on healthy options, in healthy portions, and get up and move more. As a blogger, a lot of my time is in front of the computer- and that just wasn’t cutting it.

I have never been a breakfast person, but I sure do love my coffee.  My coach, Ashleigh said that a great way to fill me up and still get me going for the day is: Bulletproof coffee. 

Bulletproof coffee is essentially coffee… with butter.  I know what you are thinking… gross!

But by starting your day off with this concoction your body turns into a fat-burning machine.

It promotes healthy weight loss.

It eliminates hunger pangs.   

All of these benefits sound great to me!

Since I wasn’t super excited to put butter in my coffee, Ashleigh said I could substitute heavy cream.  I also add a scoop of collagen powder for added health and beauty benefits.

She was right!  I start my day off with this almost every morning and it not only gets me going, but it keeps me full until lunchtime.

Since I have also never been a huge lunch eater, she told me it was cool to snack all day if I felt hungry.  Awesome!

I love snacks. My snacks, however, must be healthy.

That’s fine!  I love healthy snacks.

So, I hit up the grocery store and stocked up on veggies, dips, and the like.  Yum!  (I will share some of these snacks and recipes in my Lazy Girl Kitchen next week.)

Dinner time was when I got to splurge a bit.  I like to cook, so I kept things creative with ground turkey taco lettuce wraps, baked chicken with balsamic glaze, scrambled eggs with peppers and tzatziki sauce.  It was fun to come up with options that were not only healthy but delish.

I have been following this plan for almost a month now, and I already feel physically better, have more energy and a clearer mind. Win!
